Velvet antler can be defined as the antlers of male deer during the phase of rapid growth. It is referred to as velvet antler because of the antler’s velvet-like covering. It is important to note that the velvet antler is the entire antler and not just the covering. Velvet antler is living tissue which grows at a very fast rate of up to 2 cm/day in some species. It is also the only mammalian organ that regenerates at such a speedy rate. The factors which are actually responsible for the rapid regeneration of the velvet antler can explain the powerful health benefits of the product.
The first documented use of velvet dates back over 2000 years to a Han tomb in the Hunan Province in China where a silk scroll was discovered listing over 50 diseases for which velvet antler was taken.
Farming of deer in New Zealand facilitates painless removal of the velvet at the optimum time to ensure maximum health benefits from the product. Its processing is regulated by the New Zealand Government’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to ensure rigorous processing and hygiene standards. Veterinarians or specially certified farmers may only remove velvet antler under a rigorous mandatory system that is endorsed by New Zealand National Animal Welfare Advisory Committee and the New Zealand Veterinary Association.
What is a growth factor?
Growth Factors are poly-peptide bonded amino acid chains manufactured and released into the body to carry out specific actions.
What are the benefits?
The actions of growth factors are the restoration of normal body processes and strengthening of the body, possibly leading to mental and physical performance increase, and enhancement of the immune system. Direct supplementation of these growth factors naturally substitutes the need for human growth hormone supplementation.
Pure IGF can improve athletic performance by increasing strength, endurance (stamina), increasing oxygen carrying capacity of the blood, repairing minor tissue damage that occurs during training or in a competitive event, and boosting the immune system of athletes whose immune system has been compromised during extreme exertion.
Clearly, athletes are not the only benefactors. This includes all types of exertion, from excessive weekend yard work to occasional weight lifting. Pure IGF directly supplements the growth factors that are the key to all recovery related symptoms.
Perhaps the most interesting and potent effect IGF has on the human body is its ability to cause hyperplasia, which is an actual splitting of cells. Hypertrophy is what occurs during weight training and steroid use, it is simply an increase in the size of muscle cells. After puberty you have a set number of muscle cells and all you are able to do is increase the size of these muscle cells, you don’t actually gain more. But, with IGF use you are able to induce hyperplasia which actually increases the number of muscle cells present in the tissue. IGF can actually change a research subject’s genetic capabilities in terms of muscle tissue and cell count. IGF proliferates and differentiates the number of types of cells present. At a genetic level, it has the potential to alter a research subject’s capacity to build superior muscle density and size.
When IGF is active it behaves differently in different types of tissues. In muscle cells, proteins and associated cell components are stimulated. Protein synthesis is increased along with amino acid absorption. As a source of energy, IGF mobilizes fat for use as energy in adipose tissue. In lean tissue, IGF prevents insulin from transporting glucose across cell membranes. As a result the cells have to switch to burning off fat as a source of energy.
IGF also mimics insulin in the human body. It makes muscles more sensitive to insulin’s effects, so if you are a person that currently uses insulin you may be able to lower your dosage by a decent margin to achieve the same effects and as mentioned IGF will keep the insulin from making you fat.
Is it safe?
Studies on safety were commissioned from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Otago in New Zealand and overseen by Dr James M. Suttie, a world recognized leader in velvet research. The studies were carried out according to OECD standards.
The studies showed that after 90 days of supplementation with velvet antler, the subjects were showing no unusual signs or symptoms. These provide reassurance that any potential build up of active ingredients resulting from taking well processed New Zealand velvet antler does not lead to toxicity. The doses of velvet antler evaluated in the trial were far greater than any doses of velvet antler commonly used by humans. Of course, 2000 years of use supports this.
How do I use IGF?
As a dietary supplement:
STACKING AND USAGE
For maximum effectiveness we recommend using Pure IGF™ 2-3 times daily, preferably after rinsing your mouth out with water and 30 minutes before eating. This method is recommended especially for ultimate athletes looking to recover rapidly from intense training. The only question you need to ask yourself when considering stacking multiple bottles is HOW FAST DO YOU WANT TO RECOVER?
We recommend using Pure IGF™ for a continuous period of at least 3 months to observe the total system regeneration. You should cycle off this product for 4 weeks to allow for maximum absorption and effectiveness before resuming use of this patent-pending formula.
Pure IGF’s profound ability to increase your workout length by nearly 110% a session, while also cutting recovery time in half, allows you to train an additional 2-3 times more weekly. That is like adding over 13 more sessions a month, leading to almost 156 more intense training sessions a year. All this is done while prevent/healing minor injuries, protecting the immune system, and regenerating/creating new muscle fibers for enhanced performance and look.
